The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has published on its website a plan of legislative work for 2022, which was approved by a government resolution of 27.4.2022.
The legislative work plan confirms our information, which we gave you on 26.4.2022 at a joint meeting. Amendments to Act No. 186/2016 Coll., on Gambling, and Act No. 187/2016 Coll., on Gambling Tax, are to be submitted to the Government in the second quarter of 2023. The expected date of entry into force is, as announced, in January 2024.
It is also worth noting the draft amendment to the AML Act, about which we briefly informed you also at our last meeting. According to the legislative work plan of the Ministry of Finance, the draft of this amendment is to be submitted to the government in October this year. The anticipated entry into force is provisionally set for July 2023. However, according to information previously heard from the FAU, an amendment in the second half of 2022 is unlikely. With regard to these circumstances, we will examine the current situation regarding the amendment to the AML Act.
