The Ministry of Finance, as the submitted of the bill, rejected all the arguments of comments places that were pointing out the absence of any impact analyses and the detrimental effect of the proposed changes. The Ministry rejected all the arguments saying that the tax rate itself is an exclusively political issue and that they no longer expect gambling market failure in connection with the proposed rate change.
IFGR is still staying true to their comments and hope that there will be room for factual arguments at least during the forthcoming legislative process.
