Institute for Gambling Regulation Curates Responsible Gaming & Player Safety Day at HIPTHER Prague Summit 2026

The Institute for Gambling Regulation (IPRH) is pleased to present its Responsible Gaming & Player Safety Day at HIPTHER Prague Summit 2026, organized by HIPTHER. This special session will take place on 25 March on the Main Stage of HIPTHER Prague Summit 2026.

The thematic day organized by IPRH will focus on current topics in safer gambling, player protection, regulatory trends, compliance, and emerging forms of illegal gambling. Legal experts, regulators, safer gambling specialists, and gaming industry representatives will come together to discuss how approaches to safer gambling, consumer protection, and the sustainable development of the legal market are evolving across Europe. Attention will also be given to how new trends in illegal gambling undermine player protection and why tackling the illegal market is essential for a safer gambling environment.

IPRH has long been recognized as a respected voice in gambling regulation. Its representatives regularly contribute to expert discussions on legislation, public policy, and practical tools for player protection in the Czech Republic and across Central Europe. Cooperation with HIPTHER reflects a shared goal to connect innovation in the sector with responsible governance, regulation, and a public-interest perspective.

Three Key Program Topics

IRIS: One Player, One View Across Operators
One of the main highlights of the program will be the presentation of IRIS, a project offering a new perspective on player protection. Risky behavior is not monitored solely within a single operator, but from the viewpoint of one player across multiple operators. This approach has the potential to significantly improve early risk detection and strengthen player protection. The current phase of the project will be presented by Petr Rybák, Project Manager of IRIS.

How Much Does Illegal Gambling Cost the Czech Republic?
Another key session will feature a new economic study by the Centre for Economic and Market Analyses (CETA) on illegal gambling in the Czech Republic. The study provides data on the scale of the black market, the volume of money lost outside the legal sector, and related tax revenue losses. The findings will be presented by Jakub Žofčák, one of the study’s authors.

Can the IPRH Model Expand Beyond the Czech Republic?
An important part of the program will be a panel discussion with representatives of the Czech, Slovak, and Polish institutes. The debate will focus on cross-border cooperation in addressing shared challenges in regulation and player protection and explore the possibility of transferring the IPRH model to other countries. IPRH is not a traditional industry association but a unique platform bringing together businesses, regulators, public authorities, experts, and addiction specialists into a functional ecosystem and shared discussion.

The Responsible Gaming & Player Safety Day will offer a series of discussions on regulatory developments, modern player protection tools, responsible marketing, and cross-border collaboration between regulators, experts, and operators.

A Shared Commitment to a Safer Market

The collaboration between HIPTHER and IPRH reflects a shared commitment to promoting safer gambling and fostering open dialogue among regulators, experts, and industry representatives.

“As the gaming environment continues to evolve, so must our approach to player protection. This dedicated day demonstrates how technology, data, research, and responsibility can work together to promote safer gambling. We look forward to discussing how modern regulatory frameworks and practical tools can contribute to a safer and more sustainable environment for all,” said Petr Kozák, Lawyer and Secretary General at IPRH.

The Responsible Gaming & Player Safety Day will form a central part of the 10th-anniversary edition of HIPTHER Prague Summit, bringing together leaders from gaming, fintech, AI, blockchain, and regulatory sectors for two days of discussions shaping the industry’s future.
